Nanci Griffith
Whether performing her own poetically evocative material or the compositions of her influences, friends, and peers, Nanci Griffith possesses a powerful gift for inhabiting the songs she sings - for communicating unspoken intimacy and heartache through her tender voice and lilting, delicate phrasing.
Patty Griffin
Patty Griffin's new album Children Running Through (ATO) continues the remarkable creative evolution that's quietly established Griffin as a vital and singular musical force.
Peter Donnelly
Peter Donnelly's music does not easily fit into any particular genre: a pinch of folk, a dash of pop, an occasional sprinkling of rock, and a whole lot of heart. Perhaps the one consistent thing about Peter's music is that he sings about life, life as others see it, life as he sees it, and life as he would like to see it.
John Hiatt
ohn Hiatt is never sure what to make of those phone calls _ like this one a few years ago: "Hello, John, this is Eric Clapton," Hiatt says in a faux British accent. "Love to do your song."

The Nowheremen: John Scotti - 12 String Electric Guitar
John and Ian met long ago and far away in a nowhere land of sorts. They shared guitar riffs that echoed their musical heros from a foggy port city across the great ocean. When Brendon overheard these lads fiddleing about in a used bookstore basement he volunteered his services as the skiffle band's new drummer. Having read an ad in a beat magazine for a string or tub-style bass player, Mac dropped a dime. The Nowheremen were born on a rainy afternoon when they played their first gig at a peace rally in a Cambridge coffee shop.
